Ladakh Cultural Photography Journey

Photograph Ladakh's monasteries, festivals, and dramatic light across one of the world's most photogenic regions.

Duration 9 Days / 8 Nights
Price From $2,050 per person
Difficulty Moderate
Group Size 4–8 photographers

Ladakh’s monasteries, prayer flags, and high desert light make it one of the most rewarding places on Earth to photograph culture in context. Over nine days you’ll shoot dawn prayers at centuries-old gompas, portraits with permission from local communities, and landscapes where Buddhist architecture meets some of the starkest terrain in the Himalayas.

Our photography lead has spent years building relationships with the monasteries and families you’ll visit, which means access and moments other visitors simply don’t get.

What Travellers Say

★★★★★

“Hard, beautiful, and completely worth it. The local guides knew the mountain like family, which made a genuinely demanding trek feel safe from start to finish.”

Daniel Reyes Himalayan High Altitude Trek, 2024
★★★★★

“We saw three leopards in two days at Yala, which our guide told us was rare even for him. Every detail of this trip felt considered — nothing generic about it.”

Sarah Okonkwo Sri Lanka Wildlife Safari, 2025
★★★★★

“Riding Khardung La was the highlight of my life on two wheels. Tenzin and the team handled everything — permits, altitude, the works — so all we had to do was ride. Genuinely life-changing.”
